Course overview

*Summarize the current body of literature surrounding the anatomy and biomechanics of the iliotibial band (ITB), to better understand the etiology, clinical examination, and treatment of ITB syndrome. *Explore and integrate connections between tissue structures, function, environmental and personal factors for the management of patients with lateral epicondylosis. *Outline our contemporary understanding of possible musculoskeletal causes of inguinal-related groin pain in athletes. *Determine whether the Ottawa Ankle Rules accurately rule out ankle fractures in adults. *Compare non-operative treatment, open surgical repair, and minimally invasive surgery for acute Achilles tendon ruptures.
