Course overview
This presentation will provide an overview of the impact of language and its relationship to stigma in the healthcare and human services fields. Participants will explore the impact of bias on client outcomes through data and self-reflection. Participants will be able to: Recognize at least 2 potential impacts of stigma Recognize stigmatizing terms and replacement language aligned with the trauma-informed care philosophy Increase self-awareness and the role of bias in client outcomes
