Course overview

Each year in the United States, more than 20,000 infants and children suffer cardiac arrest. On average, prehospital emergency care providers are called to treat out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in more than 7,000 infants and children. Of these, 11.4% survive to hospital discharge. This interactive online course covers major concepts of cardiac arrest in infants and children, the AHA guidelines for treatment of children in cardiac arrest, and post-cardiac arrest care.
