Course overview

This program focuses the nurse on one of the most important aspects of prevention of pressure ulcers - the risk and skin assessement. When performed properly, these assessement will direct care planning as well as focus on teh prevention of pressure ulcers. With CMS Present on Admission (POA) guidelines, there is a huge emphysis on the initial assessemnt and prevention of pressure ulcers that would not receive reimbursement if developed within the facility.
