Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) Certification

Course overview

This 45-hour online training / home study course is 1 of 2 parts of a 135-contact hour continuing education course which provides the skills and knowledge for participants to effectively treat patients with lymphedema using Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT). This comprehensive course includes the four components of CDT: manual lymphatic drainage, compression, skin care, and therapeutic exercise. The online training section, which consists of several modules and assessments, is completed prior to the 90-hour live lab modules conducted over a 2-to-4-week period. Course participants must complete each module and pass all quizzes, assignments, competencies, case studies, and exams. The course educational level is Beginner/Intermediate. Target audience: licensed PT, PTA, OT, COTA, RN, LPN, and LMT. Upon successful completion of the entire course, participants will be certified as a Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) and will be eligible to apply for LANA certification.
