Upon completion of the activity, pharmacists will be able to: Describe the function and oversight of the pharmacy and therapeutics (P&T) committee; Identify radionuclides for therapy and new radiopharmaceutical therapies in the pipeline; Describe the changes taking place with the implementation of USP 825, 797, and 795; State the methods of administration of I-131 solution; Review basic principles of setting up and operating a scintillation detector; Describe the PET imaging technology used for myocardial imaging; Describe logistical and radiation safety considerations for implementing a radiopharmaceutical therapy program.
