Course overview
In this course, we are going to discuss nursing pharmacology practices in pain management, conscious sedation, and anesthesia. As procedures are increasingly done on an outpatient basis or at the doctor's office, safety protocols are paramount to prevent adverse reactions when administering these types of medications. The course will outline the indications of conscious sedation, analgesia, and anesthesia. Nursing considerations when administering these medications will also be discussed.
