Sound Healing For Massage Therapists

Course overview

This is a two-day 12 hour hands-on CE credit workshop for licensed massage professionals. The class provides an overview of Sound Healing for massage therapists and an understanding of various modalities which fall under the category of Sound Healing (also called Sound Therapy.) Participants will learn the underlying concepts of therapeutic sound and gain an understanding of how this modality can benefit their clients and assist their practice. Some of the topics explored will be: healing music toning BioSonic Repatterning with tuning forks VibroAcoustic Sound Therapy the use of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls Sanskrit bija mantras (seed sounds) for energy balancing The students will discover how different types of sound can be used for energy balancing, stress reduction and pain relief. Each practitioner will gain an understanding of how they can incorporate sound into their own practice and will have an opportunity to give and receive sessions using sound as a complement to their own area of expertise. We will use videos, handouts and direct experience to help thoroughly integrate the information being presented. The goal is for each student to come away with practical knowledge that they can bring to their practice. The course is appropriate for massage therapists and sound healers of all levels.
