Cerebral palsy (CP) is a neuromotor disorder caused by injury to the developing brain during the prenatal or neonatal periods. CP affects the development of posture muscle tone and movement. Functional limitations may be caused by the original lesion or secondary conditions. There are many classifications of CP and each type of CP presents and is treated differently.
