Assistive technology (AT) describes products that enable individuals to live more independently. AT encompasses many products including devices to help with vision mobility hearing self-care etc. Products range from high-tech solutions (communication software) to low-tech solutions (walking sticks). All of these products allow the user to live an easier more dignified functional life. This course explores the different categories of assistive devices discusses how to choose AT products and explains the process of service provision of AT.
