Course overview

Complex orthoses are extensive braces that support multiple joints to maintain position. Because these are robust complex devices the orthotist needs more skill and experience to fit these orthoses. This course will summarise the assessment required to fit a complex orthosis. It will then describe various knee-ankle-foot orthoses and hip-knee-ankle-foot orthoses focusing specifically on which pathologies might benefit from each type of orthosis.
