Ideally rehabilitation will begin prior to amputation surgery. As a minimum it should start immediately following surgery. This course will help you to understand both the pre- and post-amputation assessment as well as the initial management of this patient. It will also cover other crucial considerations during this period such as avoiding and treating complications post-amputation pain and the related emotional and psychological reactions.
