Ankle osteochondral lesions (OCL) often occur after moderate or severe ankle sprains. The compressive load between the talus and the tibia or fibula causes bone bruising and results in ankle pain with weight bearing. The pain and other symptoms associated with this condition can affect a patient's ability to walk work and participate in sports. OCLs can be challenging to manage for both the rehabilitation professional and the patient. In this course Helene Simpson explores these challenges and provides an overview of her approach to OCL rehabilitation.
