Course overview

The elbow is a complex joint and stability is provided by osseous and soft-tissue constraints. Various ligaments provide stability but the relative instability of this joint makes it vulnerable to sporting injuries that can involve several of the structures associated with the joint. Apart from the clinical history clinical reasoning and physical examination are essential to make a diagnosis. In this course Ian Gatt will discuss the possible causes of elbow pain as well as some of the clinical tests used to differentiate between possible conditions.
