In 2019 the Global Burden of Disease Study showed that one in three people which is approximately 2.4 billion individuals would benefit from rehabilitation. The number of people living with non-communicable diseases is increasing and the world population is ageing. Rapid urbanisation conflict and motorisation have consequences for people living with injury or disability. The poorest and most vulnerable populations have the highest unmet rehabilitation needs. In this course Sumit Kane will discuss specific rehabilitation needs the distribution and the key drivers of these needs.
