Course overview

This publication provides a historical and research overview of parental alienation syndrome and parental alienation, identifies strategic issues for advocates working with victims, and offers guidelines to improve courts’ treatment of these issues. Learning Objectives: 1. Gain knowledge of concept of parental alienation syndrome and delineate the evidence in support and opposition of this concept 2. Evaluate the distinction between “parental alienation syndrome” and “parental alienation” 3. Delineate the steps that can taken to respond to the use of parental alienation in a legal proceeding
