Course overview

The Significant Code Changes to the 2023 NEC course is intended to be a presented course for the participant(s) and contains most significant revisions and new requirements associated with the 2023 NFPA 70 NEC. Throughout the course, you will learn about the updates of the 2023 NEC by reviewing the change summary, significance of the change, and Code language, and by looking at any other related changes from the 2020 NFPA 70 NEC. Because of the significant jump in code related changes that the state has made, this code update will consider significant changes from the two code cycles that have happened from 2017 to 2023. The course has eight topics that each cover Code articles and their associated changes. Michigan electrical code part 8 rules will also be referenced and discussed. You will receive a course completion certificate at the completion of this course.
