The first step of the Evidence-Based Practice Model involves evaluating the patient and understanding the full scope of their condition as well as considering their context beliefs values and preferences. This phase corresponds to the Ask component of evidence-based practice. Throughout this course the various aspects of assessment will be explored and we will learn how to incorporate the PICOT clinical question to steer evidence-based practice decisions.
