Recognising the multiple facets of the evidence-based practice model is crucial. The best available evidence should be considered as should clinical expertise and the patients characteristics state needs values and preferences. In this final course of the Applied Evidence-Based Practice Programme the steps of evidence-based practice will be revisited through practical examples. These examples will illustrate the importance of a patient-centred approach and involving the patient in discussing their treatment plan. Participants will also receive valuable insights on implementing the evidence-based practice model enabling them to actively demonstrate and embody evidence-based practice principles.
