Course overview

This program will provide nurses with information about interventional radiology procedures that provide treatment options for acute ischemic stroke. Readers will be able to: identify the three main interventional radiology treatments that may be used to treat acute ischemic stroke, describe the two mechanical embolectomy devices available for ischemic stroke treatment, and discuss nursing management of the postprocedure interventional radiology stroke patient.
