As part of their duties, military personnel must overcome certain difficulties that may have long-term implications on their mental health as well as broad ramifications for their families. Daily life-threatening events and the trauma of death and devastation are experienced by military soldiers operating in armed warfare. The individual's mental health may suffer from repeated exposures during deployments that may extend for months.
