Let it Flow, Let it Flow: A Primer on OCTA

Course overview

This course serves as an intro to optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). We will review the basic principles of how perfusion maps are generated using OCTA (motion contrast) and how different vascular complexes can be segmented with OCTA in conjunction with retinal vascular anatomy/circulation. We will discuss the pros and cons of OCTA and review different imaging artifacts that clinicians need to be aware of and identify. Finally, we will review clinical and research applications of OCTA and clinical cases.
