Domestic violence is a universal problem throughout the world, and affects people of any race, age, gender, religion, socioeconomic background, educational level, ethnicity or sexual orientation. It does not affect the abused, but it also affects the family member’s friends, co-workers and the community as a whole. Upon completion of this self-study the learner will be able to: 1.Identify and have the knowledge to identify victims of domestic violence 2.Identify causes of domestic violence 3.Understand the signs and symptoms
