Course overview

Aging in place is an important goal for most older adults. However, the natural course of aging presents challenges which may limit one's ability to remain in their home or community. Rehabilitation professionals play a key role in identifying the barriers to aging in place and providing the resources and interventions necessary to help their patients remain in their homes and communities. This course teaches occupational, physical, speech-language pathology, and audiology professionals the common challenges to aging in place and ways to address them.
