Religious and spiritual identity can affect a persons experiences seeking and receiving behavioral healthcare. This course provides an overview of how religion and spirituality influence behavioral health equity. It also offers strategies to address behavioral health inequity among different religious and spiritual communities. Note: There are over 2,400 religions in the world. This course does not focus on any specific religious or spiritual identity. Any specific religious or spiritual content is provided as an example and should not be viewed as a universal experience. Please see the Resources section at the end of this course for information about specific religious or spiritual identities.
