This course begins with an overview of the Occupational Safety Act of 1970 as they relate to funeral service. Learning topics will include the Formaldehyde Program, the Hazard Communication Program, and the Bloodborne Pathogens Program, and the Bloodborne Pathogens Program. Information on material data safety sheets (MSDS) and implementing an employee-training program are also included in this course. This course is intended to be a primer for awareness and compliance for the funeral professional. As a funeral service professional your failure to protect workers against hazardous conditions in your workplace is no less serious. OSHA protects workers from hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions, and they offer workplace oversight. OSHA encourages employers and employees to reduce workplace hazards and to implement new or improve existing safety and health programs
