Course overview

As funeral directors it is our obligation to show them sympathy, compassion, understanding, and to provide choices and explanations of those choices they now have in dealing with the death of a loved one, possibly the most difficult situation that occurs during any one's lifetime. No matter what trends come into play as far as final wishes are concerned, funeral directors must continue to be business-oriented when working with client families, but they are first caregivers in a caring profession. This course will help you understand what is happening in the death care profession in relationship to the rising interest in cremation. It addresses who a cremation client is and what techniques should use when working them, meeting that person's family's needs and assisting them as they begin the mourning process
