Course overview
This course is designed to expand the knowledge of the optometrist regarding use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging. This will include patient care and participation, looking at the flow of a typical LASIK procedure step-by-step, research and other surgical procedures. After completing the course, an optometrist will have a better understanding of what OCT is, how it can be used to diagnose and manage a variety of pathologies specific to the retina and optic nerve in this course, and how to interpret a variety of macular and optic nerve reports.
