Course overview

Effectively navigating the RTI/MTSS process will allow support for students, teachers and families and impact the appropriateness of referrals. Increase your knowledge of the tiered intervention process through the history, federal and state law and tiered components. Learn to incorporate specific, increasing intensity of instruction with evidence-based interventions to match a student's needs within each tier. These supports may increase a student's success with the general education curriculum and the need for referrals to a specialized instructional and resources for therapeutic interventions may break down barriers. The result is a win-win for administration, therapist, teacher and student.
