Course overview

Appraiser Quality Monitoring System (AQM) along with the computer system known as the Collateral Underwriter (CU) "review" tens of thousands of appraisal each day. Despite the implementation of this system, extensive feedback and outreach, a high appraisal failures rate persists. This class outlines many of the most common failures noted by the CU, appraisal reviews, and interviews with chief appraisers of AMCs and lenders. Due to these persistent problems many appraisers are classified as Tier 2 or 3 and paid less. This class will explain the failures and offer solutions that should help appraisers reduce the call-bakcs, hard stops and the need for corrections.
