This intermediate-level course is relevant for respiratory therapists who are new to clinical practice as well as those who have extensive clinical experience. It is important for therapists and nurses to be keep abreast of equipment designs or availability of more advanced bronchial hygiene devices as well as current best practices for airway suctioning based on the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) Clinical Practice Guidelines (2022 CPGs; Blakeman et al., 2022).
