Course overview

Upon completing the course, participants will be able to define what a never event is, list the six categories of never events and provide at least one example from each, explain how root cause analysis and systems analysis work and how they can be used to prevent never events, explain the importance of teamwork in preventing never events and identify five issues that are common sources of medical errors, and explain how to prevent them and improve patient safety.
