one hour course outlining the at risk patient, whether a patient is at minimal, moderate, or high risk, whether they have a definite plan, emphasized the critical importance of screening patients for risk, discussed the various screening tools, discussed the importance of protective factors, the 4 therapeutic interventions that can be used once a patient is deemed at risk for suicide; brief contact, care coordination, safety planning, brief therapy. The "no suicide contract" is no longer believed to be an effective intervention. Discussed the crisis response plan.
