Course overview

WPB VA is a large facility with multiple subspecialty departments that exist within the hospital but function independently. Chest conference facilitates a multidisciplinary team of specialized providers to gather and to discuss best possible treatment and review cases that are unusual and /or challenging. This is the primary venue that makes it possible for the pulmonary applicable specialties to meet concurrently for case discussion. Chest conference is held weekly on Tuesday mornings. This was developed as providers in the facility expressed need to hold a forum in which pulmonary cases can be discussed. This conference plays a vital role in the plan and coordination of veteran cases at WPB. In addition to cases referred within pulmonary, patient review can be requested by any provider for their lung cases/concerns.
