It is common for men to be uncomfortable discussing sensitive issues such as urinary leakage and sexual dysfunction, and in the arena of pelvic rehabilitation, there are fewer practitioners trained specifically in men's pelvic health. Across disciplines, men can be aided by caring professionals who are aware of and can inquire about concerns in domains such as urinary leakage, erectile dysfunction, genital pain, bowel dysfunction, and pelvic pain. Because pelvic pain is consistently associated with higher rates of depression and negative impact on emotion, cognition, and quality of life, healthcare providers must be prepared to identify patients who may benefit from pelvic rehabilitation efforts. This webinar will equip practitioners with the research around pelvic dysfunction, as well as practical strategies for both initiating conversations about pelvic health concerns and offering care options.
