Course overview

This comprehensive CE course provides an in depth look at the new health care law. It is designed to give case managers a greater awareness of their role during a time when health care in America is changing. Students of this course will be able to verbalize changes to Medicare, Medicaid and the private insurance market as it relates to the government’s initiatives to provide health care to nearly every American. Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to interpret the new health care law and state the time lines for implementing these changes. Students are encouraged to continue their learning beyond this course by visiting the federal government’s web site and the web site of their individual state. Students are encouraged to monitor the status of the law as it is implemented over the next few years.
