Course overview
As communication failures are a leading cause of medical errors, this course reviews communication techniques related to healthcare including communication with patients and families as well as communication within the healthcare team. Course objectives: 1) Understand the impact communication has on patient safety. 2) Demonstrates knowledge of the CARE Act. 3) Identify best practices for communicating with patients. 4) Identify best practices for communicating within the healthcare team.
