Compounded nonsterile preparations encompass many different oral dosage forms, including capsules, tablets, suspensions, solutions, and lozenges. These dosage forms play essential roles in the pharmaceutical care of patients, including enhancing medication adherence, flavoring, and protecting compounding ingredients from deterioration.
