Course overview

The Gulf Coast Chapter of the UHMS continuing education mission is to promote educational activities for physicians and allied health professionals in the local and regional areas based on a needs assessment of the members and on the UHMS Panel of Expert Opinion. These activities will improve the scientific and practical knowledge in the areas of hyperbaric oxygen treatment and diving medicine Objectives Review two challenging cases of AGE presented the rationale for using HBO as a treatment modality and the logistics and safety concerns that go with treating critically ill patients. Summarize screening options in the current era. Describe each respective options strengths and weaknesses. Argue that TCOM remains at the heart of the evaluation and case management process. Review the practice gap in standard management of Diabetic foot ulcer and improve overall understanding of better management of DFU patients Subject Matter Introduction/CE Requirements AGE and the safety issues that accompany treating critical care patients Diabetes and the foot Patient Education - the importance of what can and cannot go into the chamber, and why Strategic Solutions in Radiation Cystitis Does Transcutaneous Oximetry Remain Relevant?
