Course overview

Individuals with a diagnosis of HIV are aging with other chronic conditions and comorbidities. Across all clinical settings and in populations of every age, physical, occupational, and speech therapy professionals will evaluate and treat patients with HIV as a comorbidity. Therefore, it is important to understand the impact of HIV on a patient's clinical presentation and plan of care. This course provides learners with an overview of how HIV affects the musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary systems and the interaction of HIV with common comorbidities.
