Learn moreCourse overview
Do you have clients who complain of sleep difficulties, but you feel unsure of a diagnosis and next steps? Sleep problems can both be worsened by mental health disorders and can worsen symptoms of those already diagnosed with a mental health disorder. This bidirectional relationship makes it imperative for mental health professionals to have a strong understanding of sleep disorders and treatment options. This On-Demand training provides clinicians with an overview of common sleep disorders and dives into the diagnosis and recommended treatment options for these sleep disorders. Common disorders including sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome (RLS), periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD), narcolepsy, parasomnias, circadian rhythm disorders, and insomnia are covered in-depth. Finally, participants have an opportunity to put their knowledge to use with an examination of two case studies. One year access to training videos and materials is provided, so you can revisit the information presented to further solidify and enhance your learning experience.
