This first course serves as the introductory session of the leadership series. Veteran trainer Becky Tarr covers the purpose of the series and why we need leaders in healthcare. She goes on to describe the characteristics of good leaders and the critical differences between leading and managing others. Suggested Audience: Directors, Managers, Supervisors and other leaders in the organization Upon completion of this presentation, you should be able to: Describe two reasons for the creation of the leadership series. Explain why we need leaders in healthcare. List at least three different characteristics of a good leader according to Marcus Buckingham. Identify three differences between leading and managing.
