Learner objectives: As a result of having attended the meeting, the participants should have had the opportunity to: Objectives: 1) To create an awareness in the non-tunnelling hyperbaric medical community of the current state of adoption of advanced hyperbaric techniques in tunnelling. 2) To provide an understanding of the physical and physiological differences between exposure to pressures in the range 3.5 to 20 bar in a gas as in hyperbaric tunneling and in a liquid as in diving. 3) To provide an understanding of how mixed gas breathing procedures and saturation exposure techniques are being utilized in hyperbaric tunnelling applications. 1. 4) Understand the actual utilization rates as well as costs of providing appropriate and comprehensive care to our patients.
