Course overview

Home study course designed to meet the 2 hour requirements for licensure. Includes descriptions of domestic/intimate partner violence,forms of abuse, risk factors for intimate partner violence (domestic violence), signs & symptoms of domestic violence, reasons the clinician may fail to recognize abuse, screening methods used in identifying domestic violence, methods of being a supporter and advocate to the abuse victim, injuries commonly seen in battered women, Florida's reporting requirements for domestic violence, and intervention services in the state of Florida. A written post-test will evaluate comprehension of materials.
