IV Therapy Training

Course overview

This course is intended to prepare the student to have a deeper understanding of intravenous therapy, the reasons of necessity, the complications associated with IV insertions and the correct means and techniques of insertion, provide an explanation of fluid balance, as well as signs and symptoms associated with those patients who may be in need of an IV. This course is designed to help nurses to become more capable at starting an IV and gain skills on phlebotomy and venipuncture.
