Tracking # 20-1211236
Course overview
Depression in older adults is associated with an increased risk of cardiac disease and death from illness. Depression in this population poses additional challenges, including worsened memory loss, suicidal thoughts, sleep, and appetite issues. Furthermore, depression reduces an elderly person's ability to function in a healthy and productive manner. Therefore, this course will review early recognition, diagnosis, and treatment interventions to prevent the emotional and physical consequences of depression within this population.
