The goal of this course is to make it easier for Florida clinicians to navigate the relevant laws and rules of practice by presenting a summary with an emphasis on the important issues in delivering ethical, legal, and competent professional services. The content of this course will include sections from applicable Florida statutes and the Administrative Code that regulates the practice of social work, marriage and family therapy, and mental health counseling. Common scenarios will be integrated throughout the course for the application of the statutes and increased competency and improved clinical outcomes.
