Maybe you love your job as an OTA, but are questioning how to make an impact in your OT department, facility, or even the OT profession. Or you would like to engage in more leadership but are not really sure where to start or if you are qualified to be a leader. You could also be an OT wondering how to support and advocate better for OTAs in your setting or facility. This course is designed to empower those who may feel limited by the label of being just an OTA, helping them recognize their significance and impact. Through engaging content and activities, participants will start to see the positive difference they are already making. The course also offers practical guidance on navigating leadership and advocacy in a manner that is both manageable and authentic to each individual. Target Audience Occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy students This occupational therapy continuing education course uses the following instructional methods visual aides ie slides, discussion board, guided note taking, and learning, and practice opportunities.
