Course overview

Physical therapy professionals often encounter individuals for treatment of protracted recovery following an established or suspected concussive event. Adults who do not recover as expected within 4 weeks of a concussive event are said to have persisting symptoms after concussion (PSaC), formerly called post-concussion syndrome (PCS). Learners who take this course will review common presentations of PSaC in adults and a comprehensive approach to management. Case studies will present best practices for establishing a plan of care (POC), including identifying the appropriate evidence-based interventions, progression, and goals.
