Inspired by Dr. Inderbitzen's upcoming book, Autism in Polyvagal Terms, you'll learn how to reframe stimming behaviors as somatic strengths and valuable somatic resources that can be used to help autistic individuals be more cognitively flexible and less rigid. This interactive session guides you through a three-step process--spotting a somatic resource whether your client has experienced trauma or not, reflecting on it, and building a felt sense of awareness. Learn how to skillfully integrate somatic resources, sensory experiences, and natural quality of your autistic clients into clinical practice through small group activities.
